Engine Startup

MONSTER SPORT = Engine Specialists. This is the image many people have.
The legendary Pikes Peak "Twin Engine", and V6 engine with 1000 horses is still a vivid and striking memory.
Above all else, the Suzuki M Engine produced outstanding results

J44 races and 18 wins in the 6 years at JWRC (Junior World Rally Championship) between 2002 - 2007. That is a win ratio of 40%! In 2003 All Nippon Dirt Trials in Japan, 2 Suzuki Swift rally cars sporting 1.5L turbos won all 8 races. Among those 7 races, the 2 rally cars managed a 1 - 2 finish, leaving all competion behind in dust, literally...

For street use, Supercharged 1.6L NA, and Supercharged 1.9L NA was released. The combination of Power, Reliability, and Drivability attracted many people and resulted as a best seller, the heart of the complete car. Which never ceased to be developed and evolve with time. We shall now fire up the ultimate M engine!

Only by feeding back valuable results to M16 tuning packages for customers, will this project have any purpose or meaning. The technique of drawing out power, taking in consideration of durability in actual environment comes directly from JWRC rally machines.

MOTEC ECU has many tuning options and modifiers a true test to engineers. As there is no such data for the new specifications, a small miscalculation can break the engine. Every data is compiled carefully relying on the experience of the engineer.

We don't believe in High Power just to impress on catalogs. Sure the turbo output is high, but we never deviate from focusing on torque and response. All is tuned for Monster Tajima to swing around the machine as he wishes. The red hot exhaust manifold suggests how any audience would feel... Pure Excitement!

The craftsman's own senses and experience, is the only reliable tool here. Manual examination of the cylinder, listening in with headphones for abnormal noises, is only a small part of the total analog work needed to transform a "power unit" to a "heart".

The bench test "for now" marked 420ps! Tuning continues to refine the engine further. This is the crucial moment of all.
* The display shows "368Nm" which roughly converts to "421ps"。

Marking 420ps at such an early stage, the engineer is already feeling results.

Body / Chassis Progress Report

The Super Swift's white body in the sun.
The fenders are just as aggressive as the design concept sketch.
"True" Aero parts designed and tested with our wind tunnel to actually work aerodynamically.
The web of roll cages strengthens the rigidity as World Rally cars go, and with suspensions that also inherits from World Rally cars makes sure, the humongous torque from the power train is absolutely conducted to tires and to the roads ahead.
The smooth and unique characteristics of the body proves there is no precedent, and a true "Japan Original".
A New Legend may tread the earth before you know it.

The suspension arms and differential case is mounted on the strengthened subframe. A well thought out layout for ease of maintenance, which is another feat of World Rally cars. stabilizers and brakes also complement the image of World Rally cars, just to show this Super Swift is a seriously built beast.
